Foodie Fe's Recipes

Lover of God’s plants.

Translated: Gluten-free, Corn-free, Organic Non-GMO, Plant based, fruit and veggie loving fool. Plegan (plant+vegan).

80% of the people I work with have questions about the food. Not everyone on this journey is looking to lose weight. The journey and the plan is to stay happy and healthy, with a little fun too.

I have also learned, God has us on all different walks with food for His purpose. I do know one thing, from experience, if you want to heal, He will help you get there, no matter what you eat. Luke 12:29-31

And if you are on the wrong path for His purpose for you, he will change your heart. Proverbs 19:21 & Matthew 6:33

Most of the recipes I share will be of the plant based variety since this is where God guided me back to health. You can easily add meat to them if that is your thing...chicken wing!

Cranberry Honey Dream Living Water

I have been a good steward of drinking my 16 ounces of water at wake for years. These living waters just recently came into my world. It is incredibly cool how foods have an imprint of where they go in the body. First thing in the morning, we need this desperately to set the  body up for incredible digestion! Queuing the liver to send clean blood to our hearts.

Enjoy this living water recipe!

CRANBERRY HONEY DREAM

LIVING WATER

16-24 oz water, 1/2 cup frozen cranberries

1/2 lime, squeezed and 1 tbsp raw honey.

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain cranberry pulp from water using a nut milk bag or fine metal strainer. Discard pulp and store water in a glass jar. Prepare this the night before you will consume it for max nutrient density. Leave on counter overnight or put in fridge for the next morning. Do not leave on counter more than 12 hours before consuming.

For the fall holidays, this is a dreamy mix for serving your thirsty guests.

FE’s Nerdy Food Facts:

Cranberries are well know helpers in healing urinary tract infections. Did you know they also aid healing in yeast infections that stem from strep bacteria in the body?

Wild Blueberry Banana Bread

In the link included below, I only modify a few things from the original recipe. For all the sugar references, I use 1/2 cup of chopped dates. For the plant milk, I use unsweetened coconut milk. For the baking powder, I sub in arrowroot. You can also DIY your own baking powder to avoid any fillers or aluminum.

This recipe continues to baffle me on how much I thought I needed eggs to bake anything. Bananas, avocado, flax, chia and aquafaba can all be used like eggs in recipes!
